I have just arrived from a protest that happened where I live. Aproximately 30,000 people were present, and the manifestation was peaceful for most of the time. The protest’s route was 10km, from the university to the governor’s house. I was exhausted and I left before reaching the destination. There, the shock police shot sitting protesters with lacrimogen gas and rubber bullets.
I’m thinking of posting some of the pictures and videos I made during the manifestation, but later, since now I really need to rest.
If you ever get the chance, watch a film called ‘Into The Wild’. It’s based on the real diaries of a man in his early twenties, who gives up everything to live in the wilds of Alaska.

He’s like “those protesters are all dumb look it’s the inflation the prices really aren’t that high look at all these statistics here you should all shut the fuck up because this is an invalid motive for protest if you look at the numbers closely”. He hasn’t defended to cops yet, but to arrive there it’d only be a step.

Yeah it’s just… goddammit he’s not even LIVING IN THIS COUNTRY anymore and he feels entitled to pass his enlightened judgement on us. I believe I’ve made my point against his opinions damn well clear, but I’ve quit the argument when he started to straw-man protesters as ill-intentioned/ignorants communists.
